With sheer determination, Ottone managed to forge the dagger using the blessed stone and water by the sacred rituals. Thus, armed with his mystical dagger and courage in his heart, Ottone rode towards the city, ready to confront his monstrous adversary.

The showdown between Ottone and the Biscione was indeed a spectacle. As he approached the creature, it roared out a terrible sound that rattled the city's heart. Undeterred, Ottone charged and plunged the dagger into the Biscione's heart. Silenced forevermore, the monster fell, freeing Milan from the dark grip of terror it was trapped in.

Relieved and grateful, the people of Milan hailed Ottone, their savior, as a hero. As a token of his bravery, the Visconti house took the figure of the Biscione to be their emblem, a symbol signifying the defending spirit of Milan.
